DEFQUEPRI is a system parameter that establishes the scheduling priority for jobs entered in batch and output (printer, server, and terminal) queues when no explicit scheduling priority is specified by the submitter. DEFQUEPRI refers to relative queue scheduling priority, not the execution priority of the job. The value of this parameter can range from 0 to 255; the default value is 100.

The value of DEFQUEPRI should be less than or equal to MAXQUEPRI.
