Access Control Entries are entries in an Access Control List.
Types of ACEs
The following formats of ACEs exist:
- Default Protection ACE to set a default protection code through a directory structure
- Identifier ACE for object access control
- Creator ACE to set the ownership access for new files created in a directory
- Audit ACE for security auditing of an object
- Alarm ACE for receiving security alarms when an object is accessed in a certain way
- Subsystem ACE for protected subsystem access control
