ACE

Access Control Entries are entries in an Access Control List.

Types of ACEs

The following formats of ACEs exist:

• Default Protection ACE to set a default protection code through a directory structure
• Identifier ACE for object access control
• Creator ACE to set the ownership access for new files created in a directory
• Audit ACE for security auditing of an object
• Alarm ACE for receiving security alarms when an object is accessed in a certain way
• Subsystem ACE for protected subsystem access control
