RIGHTSLIST.DAT is a file that normally resides in SYS$SYSTEM and stores user rights information such as rights identifiers. The current rightslist file is pointed to by the RIGHTSLIST logical name. It can be viewed and modified using the AUTHORIZE utility. It is a file critical for system security and should be protected.
