DEFINE/CHARACTERISTIC is a DCL command that assigns a numeric value to a queue characteristic. The/CHARACTERISTIC qualifier is required. If a value has been assigned to the characteristic, you must delete and redefine the characteristic to alter the assignment of the existing characteristic. Requires OPER privilege. You cannot define more than one characteristic name to a number.
